Features

• Redesigned the Knowledge Base User Experience and Interface. Please read the documentation.

• Users can define an ingestion configuration for Spaces where the “Upload in Chat” functionality is enabled.

• Added a "Download Template" button in the Benchmarking feature (/chat/benchmarking), which provides users with an Excel template that specifies the required data structure for the benchmarking process.

• Introduced a new parameter CHUNK_SAMPLE_LIMIT that can be configured via an environment variable, allowing for more flexibility in controlling the sample size used in FTS searches.

• Users can upload a favicon file with a maximum size limit of 200kb in the theme settings (/theme). This favicon will be displayed in the tab of a web browser, making it easier for users to identify their website among multiple open tabs.

• BETA Create Space folders for existing Spaces.

Improvements

• Improved our HTML sanitization in the chat interface to ensure that plain text within angle brackets (e.g., <example>) is no longer mistakenly removed, preserving the intended content and format while maintaining robust XSS protection.

• The default GPT model for module selection with the BY_PROMPT setting has been updated from AZURE_GPT_35_TURBO to AZURE_GPT_35_TURBO_0613. This change eliminates dependence on the older GPT-35-Turbo version 0301 and ensures reliance solely on modules available in Switzerland.

• The default mode for module selection was changed from BY_PROMPT to BY_FUNCTION_CALL to improve module selection quality. However, please note that if the models being used do not support OpenAI-style function calling, you must still use BY_PROMPT. For further information, please refer to the documentation.

• Improved UX for the "reference in code" field in the AI Modules Template feature

  • To ensure the identification of a custom module for SDK calling, the system now automatically ticks the "Custom" checkbox when the user types a custom module in the field.

• Delete ingested data of uploaded files in a chat when user deletes the chat.

• Center aligned the custom logo in the 2nd level navigation for improved visual aesthetics and implemented a max-height of 32px to accommodate more logo sizes like square logos.

• The support email for error pages now uses the organization’s email if it is provided in the theme settings (/theme). Previously, only the 404 error page would display the organization’s email. In cases where the organization’s email is not provided, Unique's support email will be used as a fallback.

Bug fixes

• Deleted chats will be included in the “Chat Interactions” analytics report to provide accurate usage metrics. This fix addresses the issue where deleted chats were not being accounted for in the report. As a result, the number of counted chats was decreasing incorrectly.

• Ingestion issues were resolved for a number of files that were unable to be processed. The root cause for some files failing to be ingested was due to their large size (e.g. 700 pages). Other files failed due to the presence of a null character in the text, causing the database to be unable to save them. A small fix has been implemented to address these issues.

• Fixed an issue that prevented users from saving PDF files when opening the file in the browser’s default view.

• New line is now created when there are two references. This fix addresses the issue where line breaks were being ignored in chat responses when there were two references, resulting in a lack of proper formatting.

• Resolved an issue that prevented proper history inclusion in the search module. This fix is crucial as it enables the inclusion of history, allowing for the processing of follow-up questions.

• Fixed misalignment and spacing issues in the “Advanced Settings” component in the Space Management feature.

• Fixed issue where the “My Prompt” and “Suggestions” boxes would open automatically on the chat page. Now, the box will remain closed until the user clicks on the "My Prompt" button.
