Announcements

• deprecation breaking change New role for Analytics export
  We have introduced a new role, chat.data.admin, specifically for exporting sensitive data in analytics and DLP. This role replaces the chat.feedback.read role. From the next release (2024.48), only users with the chat.data.admin role will be able to access and export sensitive user data. Please update your user roles accordingly. For more details, refer to our Roles and Permissions documentation.

• BREAKING CHANGE Chat interaction analytics are now anonymized by default. Email fields in the chat interaction CSV will appear as Anonymised_{id}. To disable this feature on a cluster, set ANONYMIZED_CHAT_INTERACTIONS_EXPORT to false.

Customer Managed Tenant Changes

Clients hosting their own Unique find no detailed upgrade guides this week as there are no infrastructure changes needed to deploy this release except deprecating a feature flag that is non-breaking, refer to the deprecations section.

Features

• Polish has been added to the list of languages available for one-to-one translation.

  • In the next release, this will be configurable per space, allowing you to add any language you prefer.

• In the Upload and Chat spaces, a new button allows you to directly open the camera on your mobile phone to take and upload photos for chat.

• If a document ingestion fails, the system will now automatically retry up to three times with exponential delays.

• Configurable Retention Period: You can now configure a retention period for user chats and related data. After this period, certain fields will be redacted, while the main object record remains for analytics purposes. The fields that will be removed include:

  • Chat.title

  • Feedback.text

  • Feedback.additionalInfo

  • ShortTermMemory.data

  • Message.text

  • Message.originalText

  • Message.gptRequest

  • Message.debugInfo

  • Benchmark and BenchmarkEntry records will be fully deleted.

Improvements

• Three key improvements to streamline the translation workflow and enhance user feedback responsiveness during document translation:

  • Automate Translation Process on Command

  • Enhanced Progress Updates During Translation

  • Maintain Formatting (Bold Text, Italic, Underline) in Translation Output

• Improved Messaging for Large File Uploads: The info message for uploading large files (>100MB) and multiple files (>10 files) is now clearer.

• Enhanced Feedback CSV Export: Reference sources and chosen modules are now included in the feedback CSV export

Bug fixes

• Security Enhancement: Internal metrics endpoint is now blocked from external access.

• App Page Stability: Fixed the issue causing the Apps page to crash when no signing secret exists.

• Search Functionality Fix: Resolved the issue where the search text in the space management access input was remembered, causing incomplete lists in the dropdown.

Deprecations

The feature flag FEATURE_FLAG_NEW_KNOWLEDGE_BASE_UN_5652 on Knowledge Base frontend (next-knowledge-upload or web-knowledge-upload) can be removed, it is no longer read by the service. The new Knowledge base is enabled by default for all deployment.
