Overview
Unique AI is designed to simplify the creation and configuration of collaborative spaces. It integrates Uniques latest innovation.
What is Unique AI?
Unique AI is an agent built on a foundational loop pattern. At its core, it is defined by:
A loop – it continuously evaluates what to do next: whether to respond, call a tool, or stop.
Tool use – it can interact with external tools (e.g., internal search, web search, uploaded documents) to complete tasks.
The loop continues until a stop signal is triggered. This happens when the agent determines it doesn’t need to call any more tools.
Unique AI's loop-and-tools framework enables modular, adaptive behavior, making it a flexible foundation for collaborative AI. The agent loop drives decision-making by reflecting on user instructions, deciding on tool use, and either responding directly or invoking tools, ending when no further tool calls are needed.
Who is it for
This section about the setup and configuration of Unique AI is tailored for:
Administrators: Simplifies the setup and management of spaces using, Unique AI, with minimal effort.
Organizations: Ideal for teams requiring advanced AI-driven tools for knowledge management and communication.
Benefits
Ease of Use: Minimal typing and one-tap configurations for administrators.
Integrated AI Capabilities: Combines built-in tools like internal knowledge search, web search, and file interaction (images and documents) with powerful AI models for reasoning and response generation.
Customizability: Advanced settings for tailored configurations.
Enhanced Collaboration: Features like suggested prompts, and knowledge scope rules improve team productivity.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create a Unique AI Chat space
Navigate to Space Management on the side navigation bar
Click on Create Space.
Select Unique AI Chat
Step 2: Name the space and add instructions
Name your space: Select a name that is intuitive and meaningful for the end users and the model of the space. Consider using terms like Jobs, Teams, or other relevant concepts that would resonate with them.
Add an instruction: The instructions parameter gives the model high-level instructions on how it should behave while generating a response, including tone, goals, and examples of correct responses.
Name and instructions will be added to the system prompt.
Step 3: Configure your space
Collapse the configuration by clicking on the arrow.
Select the underlying AI Model
Choose an AI model from the dropdown menu.
For additional models go to Language Model under Advanced Settings. Choose an AI model by entering the
LanguageModelNameinto the text field. Refer to the first column of the Model Availability Matrix and copy the corresponding Model Name into the text field.
If your model is not listed in the LLM Availability Matrix, add the AI model by typing the
LanguageModelNameof the Language Model Info object into the field AI Model. To define the full Language Model Info object please see https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/edit-v2/1392967681?draftShareId=e6c02295-7b5a-4407-a567-ba52d75905de .
You are limited to using only the LLMs that have been deployed and approved within your environment. You are responsible for ensuring that only models compliant with your internal policies are added. For inquiries regarding model availability, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Add a Description and Chatbot Disclaimer
Description: Use the Description field to provide an informative summary of the space's purpose.
Example: "A space for Relationship Managers to chat with internal knowledge."
Note: The description is optional and does not affect the chat results but provides information about the space to the user
Chatbot Disclaimer: A default pre-filled disclaimer is provided, which can be customized to align with your organization's AI governance guidelines if necessary.
Default Disclaimer: "The chatbot may provide inaccurate information; please verify sources independently and remember it's not financial advice. Do not share any client (CID), confidential, or sensitive information."
For end users, this information will be presented as follows:
Configure the Tools
In the tool configuration a suite of built-in tools designed to enhance the functionality and efficiency of Unique AI chat spaces is available. These tools are seamlessly integrated into the platform, providing users with powerful capabilities to interact with data and services. Below are the key benefits of using these tools:
The toggle lets you disable the features if you choose not to activate Internal Knowledge Search or Web Search for a space.
Internal Knowledge Search
Click on the "Internal Knowledge Search" tile, as shown in the screenshot above, to access the settings page.
https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385300880 is an integrated feature that enables users to access information from a connected knowledge base using RAG. It allows the chatbot to search specific files and folders for relevant information.
Note: When the toggle is enabled and no specific knowledge base is defined, the user can access all folders and files they have permission to view (default). Additional details about knowledge base access can be found here: https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385005833
Connect to Knowledge Base
To make only specific knowledge available for this Space, click on the button ‘Connect to a Knowledge Base’ and select the relevant folders or files in the following view. This ensures that users can only view the selected files within the created space.
Filter the Knowledge Base
You can enhance a space by adding smart rules, including Metadata Filtering. It allows users to perform detailed searches by filtering through metadata attributes like filenames, dates, and more. Details on how to configure this can be found here: https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385202729
Web search
Web Search is a built-in tool that enables the AI to access real-time information from the internet. This tool enhances the chatbot's capabilities by searching the web for current data, recent events, and up-to-date information that may not be available in the internal knowledge base. More information around the configuration settings of the Web Search can be found here: https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1385038924
Uploaded content
Unique AI supports document and image uploads, allowing users to chat directly with uploaded files. When files are uploaded, the default behavior is that the model reads the full content of all uploaded files from the entire chat history on every conversation turn, if they fit within the context window of the model. This enables features like document comparison and summarization across multiple files.
This feature can be disabled in the Advanced Setting described in the https://unique-ch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUBDOC/pages/1405813613/Detailed+Configuration?atlOrigin=eyJpIjoiMThmNTdhZjdjNjA4NDJmYzg3ZmYzOWFjNDYzODM3YTkiLCJwIjoiYyJ9 if needed, particularly for long conversations where continuous reading of all historical uploads may impact performance.
